Georgiy Bushchan is a person that every Dynamo Kyiv player should thank. If not for the goalkeeper, the people of Kiev after the first match with “Aris” would have been on the verge of being knocked out of the Conference League qualification. However, Bushchan saved his team in two moments, when it seemed that the ball had nowhere to go, except to end up in the Dynamo goal.
The match in Greece confirmed the fears about the game of Kiev in defense. In the UPL, all this can be corrected with effective attacking actions. At least in fights with “Minai” and “Obolon” it was. “Aris” turned out to be the rival that didn’t let Mircea Lucescu’s charges run wild. So the Romanian specialist was not very cunning when he said before the game that 0:0 would suit him.
The only goal was scored in the 69th minute, when, after a corner, Sirota played with his hand – the referee had no doubts and appointed a penalty. Palma struck not too well, and Buschan reached for the ball, but he still flew into the goal from his hands.
“Dynamo” after a missed ball intensified a little. He beat Shaparenko twice, Yarmolenko had a good moment. But all this fades against the background of what was created by “Aris”, which in the fifth stoppage minute was one Buschan away from the second goal. But the Dynamo goalkeeper left his team a chance to advance to the next round.
