Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner Georgina Rodríguez are dealing with the death of their newborn son. Now Georgina shares emotional words for Spanish Mother’s Day and expresses her empathy for all women in the world.

Georgina Rodríguez, 28, and Cristiano Ronaldo, 37, are currently in a very emotional phase: their newborn son died just over two weeks ago, and at the same time they were able to welcome their daughter into the world. Sadness and joy couldn’t be closer together.

Georgina Rodríguez shares strong words for Mother’s Day

While the couple has since shared their feelings with the world via Instagram, Georgina is once again posting emotional and extremely empathetic words on the occasion of Mother’s Day in her native Spain. “To those who are, to those who were, to those who wanted to be and couldn’t be, […] to those who chose not to be… To all of us, creators of life and attachments… Happy Mother’s Day!” she writes in Spanish on her Instagram Story, with a big pink heart.

The mother of another daughter with Cristiano Ronaldo also expresses her understanding for all women who have decided not to have children and sympathizes with those who have suffered a miscarriage.

Ronaldo and Rodríguez ask for privacy

As a professional footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo and his Georgina are the center of attention – even more so since the horrific loss. The couple is reluctant to make any statements about this, and they have not yet commented on the media.

When they made their child’s death public on Instagram two weeks ago, the two asked for privacy. Only on Instagram do the couple occasionally reveal a piece of their emotional world. It’s probably her way of coping with the grief while also dealing with the interest of her fans and the media.
