Georgia’s gubernatorial challenger is suing to prove Trump won

Perdue wants to be the Republican gubernatorial candidate in the state. He joins a lawsuit claiming that the election was rigged, both when Trump lost the presidential election and when Perdue lost the Senate election shortly after.

Perdue wants to replace David Kemp, the Republican who is currently governor of Georgia. Kemp approved the election result, which showed that Joe Biden surprisingly won the state. Perdue says he would not have done that.

Fulton County Board of Directors Robb Pitts called the lawsuit a “desperate attempt to appeal to supporters of the big lie.”

– The 2020 election is over, the votes have been counted three times, including once by hand, and no evidence of error has ever been found, Pitts said in a statement.

– It is clear that the former senator only does this to play dirty politics and try to get out of a tough election start.

The allegations that the election in Georgia was rigged have been refuted in several instances.
