Georgian President Denounces Russia’s Abolition of Visa Regime as “Unacceptable Provocation”

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili considered Russia’s abolition of the visa regime with Georgia a provocation and called it unacceptable.

“Another Russian provocation! The resumption of direct flights and the lifting of the visa ban with Georgia are unacceptable as long as Russia continues its aggression against Ukraine and occupies our territory!” Zurabishvili wrote on Twitter.

As reported EADailyPresident of Russia Vladimir Putin lifted on May 10 the ban for Russian airlines on flights to Georgia, and also adopted a decree on the abolition of the visa regime for citizens of Georgia.
