Adonis Georgiadis and Nikos Karanikas gave the credentials that their relationship, after the fierce fights they had, has passed into another phase.
Their joint presence at the presentation of Agnis Ioannou’s book entitled “The White Elephant”, at the Ianos bookstore, on Wednesday night, where they sat side by side on the panel, offered hugs and smiles.
The editor of Janos called Adonis Georgiadis… a friend of Mr. Karanikas, causing everyone to laugh. “I accept the title, it is very honorable for me” replied the Minister of Health.
Adonis Georgiadis has admitted that the ND had made a mistake in 2018 about medicinal cannabis and had apologized by phone to Nikos Karanikas, who, as an adviser to Alexis Tsipras, had taken the issue upon himself.
“I feel great pleasure to co-present this book with Karanika. I want to show with this that we may be political rivals, but we are not enemies,” said Mr. Georgadis and added: “Nikos is a wonderful person. I confess that it was a big lesson for my life the magnitude of the mistake I had made about him and that I realized after 5 years”
For his part, Nikos Karanikas, with humor, mentioned among other things: “Look where I’m sitting… Next to Adonis Georgiadis. I don’t know what is better. Drugs or politics?’
