Georgia will be ready to join the European Union in 5-10 years

Georgia is implementing a number of important reforms that will allow it to become a full member of the European Union in the next 5-10 years. This was stated by Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili at the Global Security Forum (GLOBSEC 2022) in Bratislava.

“Georgia is a European country by its nature, and we have an association agreement with the EU, which is our master plan. We know exactly what we must do. Of course, we are implementing reforms for which we have taken responsibility,” Garibashvili said. .

The Prime Minister also stressed that Georgia sees itself in Europe in the coming years, in the European Union in 5-10 years. According to him, the country’s accession to the EU in the next 10 years is our dream and desire.
