Georgia Special Prosecutor Nathan Wade Allegedly Buys Plane Tickets for Fulton County DA Fani Willis

A recent court filing has revealed that Georgia special prosecutor Nathan Wade, who is said to be romantically involved with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, purchased plane tickets in her name. The bank statements obtained by Fox News show that Wade bought round-trip tickets for himself and Willis to Miami in October 2022, as well as a third ticket for someone named Clara Bowman. Additionally, Wade purchased another round-trip ticket to San Francisco for himself and Willis in April 2023.

The revelation comes amid a political controversy surrounding Willis and her alleged relationship with Wade. Willis, who gained attention for bringing charges against former President Donald Trump for election interference, is now facing accusations of an improper relationship with Wade, whom she hired as the lead prosecutor in the case. These allegations have sparked interest and speculation about the nature of their relationship.

Attorneys representing Wade’s estranged wife, Joycelyn Wade, filed the court documents in an attempt to depose Willis for their ongoing divorce case. They argue that the evidence of the purchased plane tickets suggests a romantic relationship between Wade and Willis. According to them, there seems to be no reasonable explanation for these travels apart from a romantic involvement.

Willis, on the other hand, is seeking to quash the subpoena for her deposition. Her attorney argues that Joycelyn Wade is using the civil discovery process to harass and oppress Willis. They claim that Joycelyn has conspired with interested parties in the criminal Election Interference Case to impede the ongoing proceedings against Trump.

While the bank statements showing the purchase of plane tickets do not directly prove an affair between Wade and Willis, it raises questions about their relationship. So far, Willis has not outright denied a romantic involvement. These allegations first came to light when Michael Roman’s lawyer, a co-defendant in the Trump case, accused Willis and Wade of mishandling public money and engaging in an improper relationship.

Ashleigh Merchant, Roman’s lawyer, did not provide concrete evidence of the alleged relationship but pointed to proof in Wade’s divorce case. Merchant claims that Willis benefited financially from the relationship through lavish vacations funded by Wade’s law firm, which received payments for working on the case. Records show that Wade has been paid nearly $654,000 in legal fees since January 2022.

Wade’s bank statements also reveal additional expenses, including payments for a Royal Caribbean cruise, Atlanta tour operator Vacation Express, the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort, the Norwegian Cruise Line, and the DoubleTree by Hilton Napa Valley. Joycelyn Wade argues that these expenses indicate that Willis was intended to be a travel partner for some of these trips.

The allegations and revelations have caused a stir in Fulton County and raised concerns about potential conflicts of interest and financial impropriety. Both Fani Willis and Nathan Wade have yet to comment on the matter. As the controversy unfolds, it remains to be seen how it will impact the ongoing cases and the reputations of those involved.
