[뉴욕=뉴스핌]Correspondent Kim Geun-cheol = Georgia Governor Brian Kemp asked President Joe Biden on the 12th (local time) to reject the decision of the US International Trade Commission (ITC) on SK innovation.
According to Reuters, Governor Kemp said this day as President Biden met with the Democratic and Republican governors and mayors at the White House to negotiate the passage of a remedy bill to stimulate the economy.
Governor Kemp said the ITC’s decision would damage plans for a plant being built in Georgia by an electric vehicle battery manufacturer (SK Innovation).

ITC acknowledged LG’s alleged infringement of trade secrets in the final decision on the battery trade secret infringement dispute between LG Energy Solution and SK Innovation on the 10th, and prohibits the production, import, and sale of some of SK’s lithium-ion batteries for 10 years. I ordered the exclusion.
The ITC Committee’s decision is finalized after a 60-day deliberation period by the US president. The President may exercise his right to veto when it is determined that there is a purpose of public interest within this period.
SK Innovation is building an electric vehicle battery plant by investing $2.6 billion in Jackson County, Georgia. In Georgia, there are growing concerns that the ITC ruling will disrupt SK’s factory construction and job creation plans.
