Georgia and Arizona administrators: no signs of electoral fraud

Brad Raffensperger, Georgia Republican Home Secretary, dismisses allegations of fraud in his state. Joe Biden, the Democratic winner of the election, is in the lead with about 14,000 votes (0.3 percent) compared to President Trump.

Recount

Earlier in the day, Raffensperger ordered a recount at the request of the Republicans. In an interview with CNN, he said he has ordered the manual recount due to the small difference between Biden and Trump in the southern state. Raffensperger says he believes the count has been accurate so far.

When asked about President Trump’s fraud allegations, the top executive said investigations are underway but have not yet yielded anything in terms of evidence. According to Raffensperger, the manual recount, which must be completed by November 20, will not lead to a different result than the machine count which is almost complete.

Mark Brnovich, the chief prosecutor and attorney general of the state of Arizona, also says there are no signs of fraud in his state. On Sunday, Trump’s campaign team filed another lawsuit in the southwestern state for falsely declining ballots from Trump’s supporters.

Situation

Brnovich, like Trump a Republican, said in an interview with Fox News that a possible recount in Arizona, according to him, will not change the state of affairs in that state. Last night, Biden took the lead in Arizona with about 12,000 votes ahead of Trump, a difference that is usually not bridged in a recount.

Since Biden was declared the winner on Saturday, Trump has refused to acknowledge his loss and has launched a legal offensive to try to prove that the Democrats have committed fraud. That has not yet been successful.

Biden wants to appoint veteran White House Chief of Staff

Joe Biden, President-elect of the United States, wants to appoint Ron Klain as Chief of Staff of the White House. Klain has been a well-known face at the top of the Democratic party for years. “He is exactly what I need as we face this moment of crisis and bring our country back together,” Biden writes on Twitter.

The White House Chief of Staff is the most senior official on the team of officers working for the president. Klain already worked for Biden in 1989 when he was still a senator on behalf of the state of Delaware. When Biden was vice president under Barack Obama, Klain also served as his chief of staff.
