IP3 Corporation and Zespół Elektrowni Pątnów-Adamów-Konin SA (ZE PAK) have concluded an agreement in the area of implementation and development of nuclear energy in Poland. They are to jointly develop the path of entry of the nuclear power plant to our country. At the same time, Georgette Mosbacher, former US ambassador to Poland, joined the IP3 board.
It is a project in which, in addition to Zygmunt Solorz ZE PAK, participates Michał Sołowow and his Synthos.
Two of the three richest Poles decided to start a joint project aimed at building a nuclear power plant in Pątnów. The power plant will operate on the basis of American technologies, the so-called small modular reactors (SMRs).
Now IP3 is to advise ZE PAK on the implementation of technology. Hence the cooperation agreement. It will include consisted of working out and obtaining approvals from relevant authorities and offices, including American and Polish, as well as other international, that may be necessary for the implementation of the project.
It may also involve gaining approval from supervisory and regulatory bodies in the individual countries that will be the suppliers of the technology. The parties will work together on the preparation of the Implementation and Financial Plan in order to create the requirements, and then order specific solutions. As part of the plan, the best available combination of technologies, components and services needed to develop and implement nuclear solutions will be developed, the release reads.
Georgette Mosbacher, the former US ambassador to Poland, is to play a role in all of this.
– Nuclear technologies are a key element that can provide Poland and other countries of the Three Seas group with a sufficient amount of clean energy. Poland’s long-term energy security requires the presence of the private sector in this area as welland a plan to support innovation in nuclear systems, said Georgette Mosbacher, quoted in the press release.
