Businessman Georges Boulet dies at 89

The business community lost a great man on Sunday, December 17, when Georges Boulet passed away at the age of 89.
The man who co-founded and chaired the Sorel-Tracy Snow Club in 1968 was also a director of the Richelieu Agricultural Society. He is the father of Marcel and the grandfather of Jean-Philippe Boulet, co-owners of the restaurant Le Fougasse.
Mr. Boulet operated an ice cream business called Boulet et fils with his brother and father for around thirty years. This company also had customers all over Quebec before being sold to Québec Lait, which became Agropur.
Georges Boulet leaves to mourn his wife, his two children, his four grandchildren and his six great-grandchildren. The family will welcome relatives and friends at Le Fougasse restaurant on Sunday, February 11, starting at 1 p.m. A tribute ceremony will take place at 3 p.m., then burial will take place at the Saints-Anges cemetery in Sorel-Tracy at a later date.
