A recent Datum survey for Peru 21 found that 63% of Peruvians “I would never vote” for the candidate of Fuerza Popular, Keiko Fujimori to presidency of the Republic.

On the list are the candidates Ollanta Humala and César Acuña, with 48% and 47% of voters who do not consider them as an option in any way.

Meanwhile, 32% of voters would not give their vote to Verónika Mendoza, 31% to Daniel Urresti and 28% to Julio Guzmán, leader of the Purple Party. 25% would not do it for George Forsyth and 21% for Fernando Olivera.

Of those surveyed, 19% would never vote for Daniel Salaverry, 18% for Yonhy Lescano, 16% for Marco Arana, 14% for Francisco Diez Canseco and Alberto Beingolea.

On the other hand, 74% of those surveyed indicated that they will vote if the COVID-19 pandemic continues in April 2021, while 18% indicated that they would not.

Regarding the candidates who lead the electoral preferences, according to the Datum poll, George Forsyth remains in the lead with 10%, although with a significant drop, since in October the intention to vote was 20%.

Hernando de Soto is in second place with 5%, while Verónika Mendoza remains in third place with 4%. Both have the same percentage as the month of October.

Julio Guzmán, Keiko Fujimori and Yonhy Lescano continue on the list with 4%, while Daniel Urresti has 3%, Daniel Salaverr and César Acuña 2% and Ollanta Humala reaches 1% of voting intention. The rest of the candidates together add 5% of the intention to vote.

32% assured that they will vote blank, flawed or for none of the candidates.

The survey was conducted by Datum with a sample size of 1,244 surveys among men and women aged 18 to 70 years. It was done from December 3 to 6 of this year and had a margin of error of +/- 2.8% and a confidence level of 95% in urban and rural sampling points throughout the country.
