Geopolitical Analyst Shares Opinion on Eurooptimism in Bulgaria and the Future of Euro-Atlantic Government

FACTS posts opinions with a wide range of viewpoints to encourage constructive debate.

“Eurooptimism is the official state mandatory ideology of Bulgaria. Bulgaria will tolerate all possible Eurooptimism in the world.”

This opinion was expressed in an interview for BNR by the geopolitical analyst Assoc. Valentin Vacev. He made an analogy of today’s reality in our country with the teaching of St. Augustine about the divine city and the earthly city of sin.

“Europe is somewhere over there, with its ideal center Brussels, and we are here, living in the earthly city of sin. Our sinful world here, in which Boyko Borisov, like a Bulgarian Abraham, the founder of the faith, “puts his firstborn on the tree” son of Geshev. As a result, from the “kingdom of God”, that is, from Europe, comes an angel who is supposed to create a likeness between the earthly kingdom and the “kingdom of God”. Mrs. Gabriel is a clichéd image, she is an angel, the angels are clichéd at first. The angel is a simple messenger, he does not have any special personal characteristics, he is an unearthly power that is sent to evangelize. Mrs. Gabriel will evangelize us with an analogue of the kingdom of God on earth, by establishing a government, if she creates it. (…) We expect Mrs. Gabriel to “tear open her chest” and take out her burning European heart to lead us to a brighter future.”

Vacev reports a “noble competition for who will be appointed as the beloved wife of the American embassy – PP, DB or GERB”.

“At this stage, Borisov was ahead of them by a very big step, they have no useful move, he is leading. But we have not yet seen the actions of the sacrificial lamb, of the sacrificial victim. The chief prosecutor Geshev will be a sacrificial victim and she must be laid on the altar of Bulgarian neo-Europeanism, but he has the right to speak as he goes to the altar. Geshev is the sacrificial, sacred sacrifice that we must pay for the right to enter the “kingdom of God” of Europeanism. He will still try to say something, and to draw any further arguments into this dark mystery. We are about to see all his intimates revile him, and express visible delight in his sacrifice.”

“I expect Geshev to do something to get out of the need to lie on the altar as a willing European victim. Geshev has a useful move,” the analyst predicted.

Borisov managed to overtake them at the turn, but they can catch up by putting Boyko Borisov’s ancestral sins on the agenda – the Russian pipeline that passed through Bulgaria and a photo of him giving Putin a dog, Vatsev said.

Both coalitions are possible – both GERB with PP-DB and GERB with other parties, but the paper one is more likely, Valentin Vacev believes. According to him, Boyko Borisov and DPS have never had significant differences or contradictions, as DPS symbolizes the ideal political center, open in all directions – “you can reach out and meet Yordan Tsonev’s hand”.

Regarding the future Euro-Atlantic government, he suggested that “oppositional forces may emerge that allow themselves to publicly question the beneficial role and nature of this government”, but for a government built in this way, on the European type, it is very difficult to an opposition was invented, “except for the political force “Vazrazhdane”, which we know “has already reached its ceiling and has nowhere to grow”.

In the core of the Bulgarian bureaucratic-political elite, there is still a visible disagreement about who stands firmly on the Euro carpet, Vatsev emphasized.

Those who fail to enter the government will have to bear the burden of opposition, he added, and insisted that if everyone is frantically seeking to enter such a European government, the question remains who will be the opposition.

Asked what we celebrate on May 9 and who is celebrating, Valentin Vacev pointed out:

“On the one hand, it is a celebration of the average European, which also contains the memory of the fact that if the tanks of Joseph the Terrible had not collapsed Berlin, there would have been no United Europe of the type we see today. (…) For to the average European, this holiday is integral. A holiday that recalls long-past but not yet forgotten interrelationships. But it is much more likely that this holiday will henceforth be perceived as the holy sacrament of the European bureaucrat, it is the holy liturgy of the Eurobureaucrat who partakes in this holiday to the eternal European values. It is about to be a holiday of the blessed European bureaucracy, to which we in Bulgaria are really in a subordinate state. May 9 is about to be a holiday of the European bureaucratic mystery. We are in a slightly outsider position to this sacrament, we are new communicants, and we must not spare our efforts in our communion to this sacrament.”

“There are infidels who from time to time allow themselves subtle and perfidious hints about the developed Europeanism that we are now building. The majority of the Bulgarian society is impatient to enter the Schengen promised land and accept the divine grace of the euro. But there are individual infidels, who should be exposed, branded and nailed to the pillar of shame”, commented Valentin Vacev in the show “Politically INCORRECT”.
