Genk prepares for challenging European evening with the return of captain Bryan Heynen

A week after the narrow victory (2-1) in Limburg, the coach of the vice-champions of Belgium knows however that the circumstances will not be easy, between temperatures announced up to 35°C and a stadium which will be full as an egg.

“Nevertheless, we have to be ready and I have the feeling that is the case. We have a young team, which is hungry, which wants to show itself and which expects this kind of European evenings”, summarizes Wouter Vrancken.

After the eliminations against Servette Genève (Champions League) and Olympiakos (Europa League), the pressure is strong on the shoulders of the Limburg players. “There is no more pressure than before, the only difference is that you can lose all the hard work done last season”, nuance Wouter Vrancken. “Against Servette and Olympiakos, we had everything in hand but couldn’t finish. Tomorrow, we will have to be more efficient and choose our moments.”

In any case, Genk will be able to benefit from the return of its captain, Bryan Heynen, recovered from an ankle injury.
