The Geneva Public Prosecutor’s Office on Monday launched an appeal to the injured parties in order to advance a procedure it has opened for illegal exercise of medical activities and violations of the federal law on therapeutic products in the context of aesthetic treatments. Two women were arrested on February 14 in connection with this investigation.
In particular, one of the defendants is accused of having imported and administered therapeutic products in an apartment in Geneva. This woman would have in particular carried out injections of hyaluronic acid, a substance intended in particular to erase wrinkles and tighten the skin.
The defendant was promoting her activity through the Instagram account “beauty_doctor_ella”, said the Geneva Public Prosecutor’s Office in a press release. Anyone who feels harmed by such practices, particularly in terms of their health, is invited to contact the judicial police at [email protected] .
The two defendants benefit from the presumption of innocence, recalled the Geneva Public Prosecutor. The procedure is led by prosecutor Alexandra Sigrist.
