Generous France pension schemes under discussion in parliament Abroad

Trade unions have announced a public transport strike in and around Paris.

PARIS – The French parliament will start Monday with the discussion of the controversial reform of the fragmented pension system. Strong action has been taken since 5 December. The system is arranged per professional group and certain groups, such as the state railways, have generous regulations. The retirement age is relatively low in certain professions.
