The Phorms Taunus Campus is proud of its MINT department1 was recently able to receive the significant donation of a photospectrometer.

Oliver Büttel, a committed father and member of the Phorms community, together with the company Analytik Jena, provided a photospectrometer for use in lessons. This donation came about through an exchange between Mr. Büttel and the chemistry teacher Tomi Hercig after the daughter reported on her father’s work in class. In this context, the father mentioned the possibility of donating an older but fully functional device, an opportunity that has now been put into practice.

The photospectrometer will play an important role in chemistry education, helping students better understand complex and abstract concepts in chemistry. The device also enriches extracurricular projects in the Phorms Science Center that promote experimental access to science.

This donation gives learners the opportunity to further develop their practical skills and experience scientific connections in an application-oriented environment.

The Phorms Taunus Campus would therefore like to thank Mr. Büttel and the company Analytik Jena for their generous donation. Thanks to this support, a further contribution to promoting scientific education was made.

1 MINT = MINT subjects is a collective name for teaching and study subjects or professions in the areas of mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology.
