Almost every major company is looking for ways to incorporate AI into their business plans, and appears to be investing in building or deploying generative AI models to perform specific tasks. A new study predicts that spending will only increase.

The International Data Corporation (IDC) predicts that spending on generative AI solutions will reach $143 billion in 2027. This includes generative AI software, as well as associated infrastructure hardware and IT/business services.
According to IDC’s forecast, global corporate investment in generative AI solutions in 2023 will be just under $16 billion (approximately 2.4 trillion yen), which is expected to increase the expected CAGR from 2023 to 2027. The average growth rate) will be 73.3%.
“Generative AI is more than a passing trend or mere hype. It is a transformative technology with far-reaching implications and business impact,” said Ritu Jyoti, group vice president at IDC.
According to IDC, the growth rate of generated AI spending is more than twice the growth rate of overall AI spending, and the CAGR is 13 times that of global IT spending over the same period.
