Cloudy and cool weather is expected in northern France. The rest of the country should experience mild temperatures and sunny skies.
The weather will be more sunny this Saturday over a large part of the country. Only the North will be cloudy and cool, according to the Meteo-France forecasts. From Hauts de France and Haute-Normandie, to Ile-de-France to the Grand-Est, the sky will be divided between clouds and sunny spells, but except for a few light showers near the northern borders, the day will be calm.
On the rest of the country, the weather will be bright from the morning despite an often cloudy sky. However, from Brittany to the interior of Normandy, as well as in the Massif Central, near the Jura, or over southern Aquitaine, the start of the day will often be gray with low clouds or fog, but these will quickly make way for the sun.
In the afternoon, a bright sun will settle over most regions, only the south-east of the country will remain under a light cloudy veil.
Temperatures between 4 and 33 degrees
On the Alpes-Maritimes and Corsica however, clouds will develop on the relief. Sometimes stormy showers will start, they can give hail on the island of Beauty. The tramontana will blow up to 60 to 70 km/h in peaks, but the mistral will strengthen up to 70 to 90 km/h.
Minimum temperatures will drop between 4 and 10 degrees north of the Loire to the Grand-Est, locally 1 to 4 degrees in Champagne, they will go from 9 to 14 degrees in the south, 17 to 23 degrees near the Mediterranean, up to 23 on the Côte d’Azur.
The maximum will range from 16 to 21 degrees from the English Channel to the Grand-Est, from 20 to 25 on the rest of the northern half, from 22 to 27 degrees in the south, up to 28 to 33 degrees on the Mediterranean rim.
