Generali: Change at the top of two regional directorates

Otto Wurzinger is retiring. Reinhard Pohn becomes regional director for Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland. Alexander Henk takes over the management of the Upper Austria and Salzburg region.

Vienna (OTS) – A generation change takes place at the head of the Generali Regional Directorate for Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland. Otto Wurzinger (62) will retire at the end of the year after 46 successful years at Generali Versicherung. His successor will be Reinhard Pohn (48), previously Regional Director for Upper Austria and Salzburg, on January 1, 2021. Alexander Henk (47), who most recently headed exclusive sales in Upper Austria, will take on this responsibility.

Arno Schuchter, Generali Board Member for Sales and Marketing, pays tribute to Otto Wurzinger’s longstanding commitment: “To work for Generali with foresight and humanity for almost half a century and to help shape its successful development – that’s what I call a true lifetime partnership.” Otto Wurzinger joined what was then Erste Allgemeine as an apprentice in 1974 and started an impressive career that brought him to the top of the Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland region in 2010.

Reinhard Pohn changes the region

Reinhard Pohn is moving to the largest region of Generali Versicherung in Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland as regional director. Pohn came to Generali in Upper Austria in 1992, where he successfully completed all positions in sales, from area inspector to sales consultant, head of sales area to head of exclusive sales. In 2013 he was appointed head of the Upper Austria and Salzburg region.

Alexander Henk succeeds Reinhard Pohn

On January 1, 2021, Alexander Henk will take over the management of the regional directorate for Upper Austria and Salzburg. Henk started his career at Generali in 1996 as a customer advisor and quickly advanced to become a sales consultant and head of the sales area. Since 2014 he has been very committed to managing exclusive sales in Upper Austria.
