General Romanenko pointed out how Ukraine should respond to Russian missile strikes

Former Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Lieutenant General Igor Romanenko commented on the information that the missile attacks on Kyiv are an attempt by the Russian Federation to disrupt the supply of Western weapons.

As Romanenko said in an interview with OBOZREVATEL, the strikes on the Ukrainian capital were carried out not only to prevent the delivery of aid.

“The sites that were selected show not only these circumstances – to disrupt the logistical routes on which the equipment comes,” said the general.

He is also convinced that the missile strikes of the Russian Federation on Ukrainian cities are attempts to force the leadership of our country to the negotiation process.

“How can we resist this? The Russians perceived, perceive and will perceive only the language of power. That is why it is necessary to show strength on our part in the form of shelling of ships, submarines from which missile launches are carried out and so on. “It is necessary to organize air and missile defense,” Romanenko said.

He also drew attention to the fact that Ukraine needs long-range weapons, at least 300 km.

“By the way, former US ambassador to Ukraine Taylor agrees. He said the sources of threats must be destroyed, whether in Ukraine or Russia,” the lieutenant general said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on Sunday morning, June 5, explosions occurred in two districts of Kyiv. As Klitschko confirmed, the explosions in Kyiv took place in the Dnieper and Darnitsa regions. The occupiers fired on the car repair plant.
