ROMA. “The time has come for citizens to consider the need for an autolockdown to minimize the risk of contagion in the face of worryingly growing numbers”. This is the appeal launched to the population by Silvestro Scotti, secretary general of the Italian Federation of general practitioners (Fimmg).
Obviously, he clarifies to Ansa, “work activities must be preserved but everything else, that is, what is not necessary, at this moment must be sacrificed in the name of public health”.
