Residents of Staphorst can be vaccinated against corona from next week at their general practice. Last week, practice manager Hilga Miggels already called on the residents of Staphorst to be vaccinated, given that the infections in the village are increasing rapidly and the vaccination rate is low.

In Staphorst, 328 new infections were detected in the past seven days (up to and including Saturday). Nine people ended up in hospital because of corona. General practitioners in the village are very concerned, practice manager Hilga Miggels of general practice Staphorst indicated in the local magazine De Staphorster.

‘At the moment, non-acute care in Staphorst is in danger of being jeopardized. Therefore the urgent advice to everyone aged 12 years and older to get vaccinated,” wrote Miggels. From next week, that can be vaccinated at the general practitioners.

“That is an initiative of the general practitioners who have discussed it with the GGD,” explains municipal spokesperson Margriet Boer. “So that people no longer go to another municipality to be vaccinated. People can also contact the Staphorst general practice for information about vaccines.”
