(Submitted by Genemuider general practitioners) Now that the Corona infections in Zwartewaterland are increasing again and several people have become seriously ill, the general practitioners notice that the unrest about Covid is increasing. Due to the amount of admissions to the Isala from throughout the region, regular care in the Isala is in danger of coming to a standstill and there is also increasing pressure on the care in general practices.
We notice that people still want to be vaccinated, partly out of concern for infection and disease, and partly also because of the social impact that not being vaccinated entails.
In collaboration with the GGD, the general practitioners offer everyone who has not yet been vaccinated the opportunity to still get a vaccination:
On Tuesday, October 26, you can report to Steenpoort between 11:30 and 16:00 for a vaccination with the mRNA vaccine from Pfizer or the Janssen vaccine. With the Pfizer vaccine, an appointment is immediately made for the 2e injection, with the Janssen vaccine only one shot is needed.
The vaccination is for everyone from 12 years and older (up to 15 years accompanied by a parent/guardian). Bring a valid ID and a face mask.
You can make an appointment for the vaccination via the general practitioner (tel.nr 038-3851200) but you can also report to the Paramedical Center next to the general practice, Julianastraat 23A in Genemuiden, without an appointment. Contact the practice if you also want to get a flu vaccination around this time, which must then be postponed.
With the opportunity we offer, we hope to increase the vaccination rate in Zwartewaterland and thus get more protection for all residents against the corona virus.
