Mahmoud Al-Qayati, a member of the media center at the General Meteorological Authority, commented on the possibility of disrupting school tomorrow in some governorates due to rain.
He continued, during a telephone conversation with journalist Azza Mostafa on the “Tahrir Hall” program, broadcast on Sada El Balad channel, that Tuesday morning witnessed moderate rain and thunderstorms at times in Matrouh and Alexandria.
Al-Qayati said: There is currently moderate rain and thunderstorms in Damietta, Upper Egypt, and North Sinai, and tomorrow it will be light to moderate in Damietta and the northern coasts.
Regarding the possibility of closing schools tomorrow due to the weather condition, he stressed that this decision depends on the governorate’s ability to deal with the rain, and therefore it is up to the governors.
He concluded by saying: The chance of rain tomorrow is low in Alexandria and non-existent in Cairo, while the chance remains in the northeastern regions of the country.
