NONGO- After the signing of the contract between the different parties involved in the renovation and extension work of the General Lansana Conté stadium in Nongo, the work was officially launched this Wednesday. It was on the occasion of the break of the first stone which saw the participation of officials from the Ministry of Sports, and the two companies responsible for carrying out the work.
In the various speeches, the two companies, namely Tacon (Ethiopia for the works), and Limonta (Italy) responsible for redoing the lawn, as well as the representative of Minister Lansana Béa Diallo, each showed confidence in the effectiveness of the start of work. As for the companies, they have committed to carrying out the work over the next seven (7) months, to allow Guinea to finally have an approved stadium capable of hosting Syli National matches at home. Before the completion of said work, the Guinea national team and the SOAR Académie club, qualified in the group stage of the CAF Cup, will play far from the Guinean borders. With also the work underway at the old September 28 stadium in Conakry, Guinea will then have two sports venues meeting CAF-FIFA standards. To the delight of the Guinean sports public….
