Electrical general (GE) has laid off hundreds of employees. This layoff was carried out by the company on the grounds that it wanted to restructure its business.

A source said the company on Wednesday announced the layoffs to its workers in North America, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa. GE also plans to lay off its companies in Europe and Asia Pacific.

The layoffs are expected to be experienced by 20% of GE’s wind energy workers in the United States. This could be the equivalent of hundreds of workers, the source said.
GE confirmed to Reuters that this was a response to current market conditions, but did not directly confirm the layoffs.
The wind farm is the largest business line in the renewable energy sector Electrical generalwhich together employed 38,000 people worldwide by the end of 2021. However, the unit had to fight rising raw material costs due to inflation and supply chain pressures.
