Participation in these general elections has practically been sustained in Algeciras compared to 2019: the 61.28% registered on this occasion is barely 0.12% less. In absolute numbers, a total of 55,570 voters have exercised their right. Of them, 19,621 have cast the PP ballot, which means up to 17 points more than 4 years ago. It is 35.71% compared to 28.80% for the PSOE, which grows a little more than one point with 15,826 votes. Vox leaves 6 points in these four years, to keep 22.25% of the votes cast, that is, 12,227. Sumar received 5,284 citizen supports at the polls, while Adelante Andalucía added 583 and Pacma, 521.

The province of Cádiz votes this Sunday, July 23, to elect its representatives in the Congress of Deputies. For these general elections, there is a record in the electoral roll. No less than 1,017,915 people are called to the polls, 15,600 more than in the general elections of November 2019. It is the ninth province in the country with the most people with the right to vote. This 23J the people of Cádiz have the duty to assign 9 seats. In total, there are 11 candidates presented by the province of Cádiz.
Regarding the results of the last general call, that of November 10, 2019, the force with the most votes was the PSOE, with 31.02% of the votes that earned it three seats for Cádiz. The same ones obtained in April of that same year. The repetition of the elections did not affect the socialists either at the provincial or national level. However, the results were not enough for the PSOE to form a government alone, forcing an agreement with Unidas Podemos.
The second force in Cádiz was Vox with 21.62% of the votes. This allowed them to take two seats in the province, even improving the result obtained in the spring of 2019. The PP also improved significantly, but remained in third place. The Popular Party won 18.31% of the votes, which translated into two seats in Parliament. One more than in the previous elections.
In November 2019, Unidas Podemos experienced a slight decrease compared to the April call. Although the votes were similar, the popular party managed to snatch the second seat and were left with only one representative from Cádiz in Congress. 15.41% of Cadiz voters chose the purple force.
The big blow was for Ciudadanos. The oranges went from second to fifth option in the province in a matter of seven months. The party that Albert Rivera still led went from two to one seat in Cádiz. Only 9.14% of the population trust this political project.
62.28% of those registered in the census voted for a party, 37.72% chose abstention, 1.3% a null vote and 1.5% a blank vote.
