The general Carlo Alberto Dalla Chiesa, his last, terrible one hundred days in Palermo, the teaching he left us. Everything explained to the children. It was not an easy task to do Maristella Panepintoauthor of a successful book published by Navarra Editore, which is entitled Carlo Alberto Dalla Chiesa, the father of the Carabinierithe first volume for children on the story of the general-prefect killed by the mafia on 3 September 1982. The text will be presented by the author at the Historical Museum of the Army in Rome on 25 January, at 4.30 pm.
The volume, in its fourth reprint, opens with some valuable contributions, primarily that of Simona Dalla Chiesa, the general’s daughter, who introduces the text with words full of emotion. An important contribution from the Army Corps General follows Pasquale Angelosanto, former commander of the Ros and now national coordinator for the fight against anti-Semitism, who explains the Dalla Chiesa method and the figures of the Ros to the children. The preface is by the prosecutor of Marsala, Fernando Asarowhich tells of his enlightening meeting with Dalla Chiesa, prefect, at the historic Gonzaga institute in Palermo.
“This book, dedicated to younger people, I see myself because, in 1982, I was a student in this school – states the Marsala prosecutor Fernando Asaro -. I remember very well when General Dalla Chiesa came to pay a visit to us very young students in May 1982. The still very current message is that of a beautiful and healthy presence of the State. A presence that was strong because it believed in the highest values. Today like yesterday, we must commit ourselves to being builders and bearers of living hope through concrete commitment every day. The good synergy between families and schools can be significant in strengthening the idea that good and common interest must always prevail over evil”.
“With this book, explains the author, I wanted to tell the story of a great man to the little ones, with a language that can explain to them, with adequate words and tones, even the pain, death, wickedness and the good that must win over bad”.
The book was illustrated by the young students of the Sant’Anna Institute in Palermo and the cover by the young illustrator Gabriel Romano. The copyright of the book goes toOnaomacthe work that assists the orphans of the Army. At the meeting on January 25th, together with the author, will be present: the General Pasquale Angelosantothe prosecutor Fernando Asarothe Chief Marshal Emilio Limone and via video link Simona Dalla Chiesa.
