In an ordinary session, the General Council approved an increase in the percentage of funding and State time on radio and television that political parties must allocate to prevent, address, punish, repair and eradicate Political Violence Against Women on the basis of Gender.
With the aim of achieving substantive equality between women and men for access to elected positions under the same conditions, the councilors approved the increase from 40 to 50 percent of the financing of political parties in this area.
Councilor Dania Ravel indicated that the modification allows women to truly compete under equal conditions.
