General Command of Civil Defense Launches “Safe Ramadan” Campaign to Enhance Security and Safety During Holy Month

The General Command of Civil Defense, represented by the Ministry of Interior, called within the “Safe Ramadan” campaign, as part of the main awareness plan for the year 2023, in coordination with its regional departments, aimed at enhancing security and safety among society groups during the blessed month of Ramadan.
The General Command of Civil Defense, in its regional departments, affirmed its readiness, readiness, and preparedness to deal with any emergency incident during the month of Ramadan, as preparations were made for the holy month with a comprehensive and integrated awareness plan to provide all procedures and measures to achieve security and safety for society in the blessed month.
It affirmed its commitment to the procedures and requirements of prevention and public safety, in addition to enhancing community awareness by continuously broadcasting educational messages through the social media channels of the General Command of Civil Defense, in addition to publishing awareness materials and publications in different languages ​​on its website and various media, with the aim of establishing a culture of awareness. Prevention of fires among community members, while raising the preventive awareness among housewives of the requirements that must be followed while they are in the kitchens, which ensures spreading preventive awareness among families, given that everyone is a partner in the process of safety and risk prevention.
And the General Command of Civil Defense identified 5 methods that must be followed to ensure the security and safety of community members at home, explaining that if the smell of gas is smelled in the house, it must first: remove all people from the house until the smell of gas is gone. Second: Not to light matches, cigarettes, or any source of fire. Third: Do not turn on the lights or any electric switch, so as not to cause sparks that may cause an explosion.
Fourth: Close all gas valves and the main valve tightly. Fifth: Ventilate the place and open windows and doors to reduce gas concentration.
