General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments showcases new smart services at GITEX 2023 exhibition

Abu Dhabi, 16 October / WAM / The General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments, through its pavilion at the GITEX 2023 exhibition, which is being held at the Dubai World Trade Center, displayed a number of its new smart services and its distinguished initiatives in the technical field, which enhance its message in society and contribute to providing its services with advanced cultural foundations and easy steps. It meets the aspirations of the public and brings them happiness.
Dr. Muhammad Matar Al Kaabi, Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments, affirmed the Authority’s keenness to achieve the vision of the wise leadership and implement the directives of the UAE government to keep pace with technical development and benefit from artificial intelligence and information technology and harness them to serve goals in the work environment according to a proactive vision that contributes to the sustainability of services and enhances… Competitiveness in innovation and excellence that the state seeks.
Al Kaabi praised the GITEX exhibition, which he stressed is a scientific and cultural radiation platform that reflects the advanced position that the UAE has reached regionally and internationally in the field of technology and artificial intelligence, indicating that the Authority is keen to invest in modern technology to develop its services according to innovative plans and initiatives that achieve the country’s directions and strategy towards smart transformation in providing Services.
Among the services in which the Authority participated in this exhibition is the provision of Authority services via Amazon Alexa devices, where questions can be asked to Alexa, the virtual assistant, related to prayer times, the Hijri date, and listening to the morning and evening remembrances, while providing an alarm feature. The service has also been developed to provide Some of the Authority’s other services include requesting to listen to the Friday sermon in Arabic, English, and Urdu, in addition to sign language, the prayer times feature, the Hijri date, listening to the morning and evening remembrances, providing an alert feature, and locating the nearest location to the Holy Quran Memorization Center.
The (Smart Piggy Bank) service was also presented using Internet of Things technology, by displaying an interactive data panel showing the status of the actual piggy banks and containers in selected locations, then analyzing and studying the data to take the appropriate action and sending alerts automatically to the fundraising team, and providing an integrated data panel to link all the piggy banks to the system. Unified to help extract real-time reports for decision makers.
This is in addition to introducing the Quick Response (QR) code service for endowment donations, which is a system that relies on the QR code to facilitate the collection of donations from the public, replace traditional collection methods, and adopt electronic payment, including the latest payment methods such as Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Visa, Mastercard, and bank transfers. .
