The Commander General of the Armed Forces Joseph Aoun visited the State of Qatar, where he was received by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani. The Army Commander thanked the Foreign Minister of Qatar for the repeated initiatives taken by the brotherly State of Qatar to assist the Lebanese Army in this phase.
General Aoun also met with Lt. General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqil Al-Nabit, Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces, to discuss the cooperation relationship between the two countries’ militaries and ways to continue the support of Qatar to the Lebanese army to help them overcome the current difficulties.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, and the Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces, praised the military’s performance in preserving Lebanon’s stability and safeguarding its civilian peace, despite the challenges posed by the current crisis in the country.
