It is an intelligent and original educational module that the gendarmes of the Baraqueville brigade assisted by their comrades from the PSIG (Peloton de surveillance et d’intervention de la gendarmerie) and the motorized platoon had this Friday, June 30, by inviting the solar Georges-Brassens schools in Baraqueville and the public primary school in Lax to discover the different aspects of their profession. Divided into four discovery workshops, the students were particularly interested in the vehicles and related sirens, then in the equipment used (various weapons, breathalyzers, protection and safety equipment) before discovering the technical and scientific police workshop with a scene of a fake murder and a search for fingerprints and to conclude this meeting a summary of the history of the profession, the discovery of archives and premises. A happy initiative which will have had the merit of interesting young schoolchildren and demystifying the a priori on this profession necessary for the public good.
