In this context, they threatened the 42-year-old sergeant with a Colt .32 caliber revolver, who was dressed in civilian clothes and was waiting for transportation to go to work. The sergeant pulled out a gun and fired at least six shots at the criminals. The motorcycle fell instantly. In addition, they added that the vehicle with which they tried to carry out the crime had been stolen in the city of Luján.

The injured 15-year-old was taken to the Mariano and Luciano de la Vega hospital in Moreno, where he underwent surgery, while the body of the deceased was taken to the morgue for an autopsy and identification: he was 33 years old.

Sources linked to the investigation said that it was established that the injured teenager has a history from last January 12, when he was arrested for possession of a firearm and concealment. However, because he is 15 years old, he is not responsible for both that incident and the one that occurred this morning.

The sergeant, for his part, was unharmed and notified the police who, upon arriving at the scene, found the Colt brand revolver at the scene, with ammunition in its drum, which the assailants were apparently carrying.

Prosecutor Luisa Pontecorvo, in charge of the Functional Instruction Unit (UFI) 3 of Moreno, also ordered the seizure of the gendarme’s weapon to carry out the corresponding investigations.

Meanwhile, the prosecutor notified the sergeant of the start of the file, but did not order his arrest, considering that he acted in legitimate defense.

Sources in the case indicated that the deceased was 42 years old and was from the La Matanza district. “The relatives who identified him this Wednesday said that they had not known anything about him for a long time, that he was living on the street and suffered from drug addiction,” the investigators expanded.
