/ world today news/ Maybe Borisov has not read the constitution well enough and is confusing the prime minister with the president. This was said by the presidential candidate Gen. Rumen Radev, answering the question for what purpose Prime Minister Boyko Borisov compares him to Plamen Oresharski.
Earlier, Prime Minister Borisov stated that “General Radev will be the new Oresharski”, i.e. he will be as dependent as Plamen Oresharski was when he was prime minister.
“In the morning, we watched an irrigation sketch of the prime minister on Nova TV, for which he mobilized all kinds of actors from Messi to Radan’s camper, Mag Svetlina, Prokopiev and who else. Referring to all these actors will not help him, to give impetus to the GERB campaign for Mrs. Tsacheva, which is not going well – we can all see that,” said Gen. Radev.
He also commented on Borisov’s accusations that he ran away from a debate with Tsetska Tsacheva. “Perhaps he missed that we had a debate on the 20th of this month on BTV with Tsacheva, just as he missed in his politics the needs and views of the entire Bulgarian people,” stated Gen. Radev.
According to him, the prime minister made a mistake. “Borisov very clearly outlined who my opponents are. Not only Tsacheva, but everyone else as well. He did not fail to mention that, you see, Kalfin was his deputy prime minister, Traikov was his minister, he and Karakachanov have known each other for a long time and are coalition partners,” said Gen. Radev added that the well-kept truth has finally been revealed – they are all representatives of the government.
“That’s why he really made the debates with these people meaningless, and my only debate is with Tsacheva, who is my main opponent. I have no intention of conducting debates with all the representatives of the government, I will conduct with Tsacheva, after these confessions of Borisov”, added Gen. Radev.
When asked if he would accept support in a second round from the DPS, Radev said that he would accept support from all Bulgarian citizens who think critically, who want change, who want to see a new, more stable Bulgaria. “They are all my witnesses, I have not met any leaders of other parties. I do not conduct negotiations and dialogue with party headquarters, my dialogue is with the Bulgarian citizens, among whom there are Bulgarians, Turks, Roma, and all kinds,” he pointed out.
Radev commented on this after his meeting with the chairman of the BAS, Academician Stefan Vodenicharov, which he described as extremely useful. “My opinion is that the BAS should be a partner and referent of the government, because it is absurd to have a modern policy without a thorough and objective assessment”, he said and added that we should not forget that the scientific potential is part of our sovereignty. “In this regard, Bulgaria must have human capital and the ability to make an independent judgment, and not just rely on foreign expertise. Of course, we cannot maintain competitive science in all areas, but there are areas in which we must preserve this science, develop it and set priorities,” he said.
Rumen Radev is adamant that it is necessary to invest in science, to have continuity in science. “We need to take more care of young scientists,” he pointed out.
