Humberto Abanto, lawyer for the former Minister of Housing Geiner Alvaradoannounced that he will file a guardianship of rights, after the Power of attorney order the preventive detention of his sponsor for a period of 36 monthswithin the framework of the investigation that is being followed for being part of an alleged criminal organization.

“We are going to raise a guardianship before the supreme judge of the preparatory investigation so that the type of procedures is clarified before the country, before the family of Mr. Alvarado and the national justice system. that are being developed here”Abanto said.
In addition, the lawyer remarked that his defendant was arrested without having received the respective court and that the legal defense was not allowed to accompany the former member of the Ministerial Cabinet.
Interior Minister denied mistreatment in detention
The Minister of the Interior, Vincent Romerodenied this Saturday the version of the defense of Geiner Alvarado, former head of Transport and Housing in the government of Pedro Castillo (2021-2022), about a possible violation of rights during police detention after the Judiciary issued 36 months of preventive detention against him for a case of alleged corruption.
