The previous generation of graphics cards NVIDIA debuted on September 17, 2020. Of course, we are talking about the series GeForce RTX 3000, which included ten major desktop models. It was the cheapest and weakest of them GeForce RTX 3050which appeared much later than the first layouts.
The hybrid GeForce RTX 3050 was valued at PLN 1099
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 was released in January 2022. Interestingly, the laptop version appeared earlier, in May 2021. However, both differed greatly in the cores used, and thus in the specification. Now, however, that difference is finally blurring.
They went on sale in China low-profile GeForce RTX 3050 graphics cards. It would not be surprising if not for their specification. We are talking about 2048 CUDA cores, which clearly indicates GPU application for laptops. However, we are talking about 8 instead of 4 GB of GDRR6 VRAM on a 128-bit data bus. This is a typical configuration for the GeForce RTX 3050 for desktop computers.
The TDP factor is 65W, which is much less than in other GeForce RTX 3050 models (115 – 130 W). This allows resignation from the additional power connector and the use of compact single-fan cooling. The user is available one HDMI and one DisplayPort.
The described hybrid graphics card is available for sale at a price of RMB 1,999, i.e around PLN 1099. The “standard” GeForce RTX 3050 are similarly priced. Unfortunately, there is no official distribution in Poland. It’s a shame because it is a great proposition for small SFF computers.
