‘Geert Grote College and Het Fons Vitae Lyceum are switching to distance learning’

Geert Grote College and Fons Vitae Lyceum are switching to distance learning because the number of corona infections in the school buildings is getting too high. In a letter to the parents, Rector Corelia Pluut of the Geert Grote College expressed regret, writes Het Parool.

‘Precisely because we see the unrest about the corona situation growing among the staff of the school as well as among the students and the parents, we are taking the lead with this measure,’ wrote Rector Simone de Kruijk of the Fons Vitae Lyceum in a letter. Pupils from both schools are expected again in January.

Earlier this week The Barlaeus Gymnasium also announced the temporary cancellation of physical classes in connection with the increasing infections. Also the Berlage Lyceum closed due to an increase in the number of corona cases.
