GeenStijl makes school. University!
Finally there is the long-awaited new Profiles, the school newspaper of Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences. In October, you massively poll-fucked a study into the “inclusiveness” of the social enterprise that identified itself as an educational institution. Well that got out of hand completely old-fashioned puberty of course, it even became an ANP, one OUR’i, a Villamedia and you name it. Research halted, results polluted, bye bye diversity research and a lot of heavy words had to outline a black frame around the whole thing. But the HR regrouped, filtered the post-fuck submissions from the pre-fuck results, and separated those two genders into some kind of useful research. And there is this month the school newspaper written all around it (PDF/Mirror). We are called really huge and of course as the culprit. Click above for large, core value:
“The experience with GeenStijl shows how difficult it is to have the conversation about diversity. What is far from being inclusive enough for one, makes the other furious about so much ‘wokeness’. And somewhere in between is the majority of the society and the university population that tries to make the best of it together. With trial, error and compassion.”
Well, as a white patriarchy with a keyboard, it will be all biological man sausage to us that it is called Debt of No Style, but it is still funny that *we* are portrayed as a kind of extreme while our house color alone is more gay-tolerant than most – name it what – religions. Diversity is like the climate: no one denies its evident existence, at most there is criticism of the way of treatment, approach and reporting. And we also read that in this school newspaper (yes, we have read it completely): the pursuit of inclusivity is highlighted very broadly, but from exactly one side: uncritically. There are zero interviews with critics of identitarian thinking, doubts about gender fashion or the question whether an educational institution in Rotterdam – which naturally consists of a wide range of students of all kinds – should invest so much time, money and energy in introducing of soft walls to accommodate each individual injury. But hey, we never finished college, especially read the critical reactions under the online version of one of the articles from the school newspaper. Homework question for the College: Doesn’t an overzealous pursuit of “inclusiveness” in itself carry a risk of exclusion?
Class dismissed.
(ps that hurt quartet is pretty funny)
