GBDH – Villeurbanne: 36-32
This Friday evening at the Palais des sports, an important match for the maintenance was played between two teams at the bottom of the table. Villeurbanne led in scoring for most of the first period but GBDH reached the break with an equal score (18-18).
On the restart, Aristide Ewe came into play in place of Milos Mocevic, author of a good first half (8 saves). The doorman from Besançon then multiplied the stops (5 in 5 minutes) and allowed the GBDH to take the advantage (23-19, 38th). Still under threat (29-28, 49th), the Bisontins however kept control of the match to win.
With this success, Besançon placed his opponent of the evening, the first relegation, at 8 points. The maintenance is practically in the pocket for the GBDH.
