Gazprom signed an agreement for a sea gas pipeline to Turkey – 2024-08-13 18:04:14

/ world today news/ “Gazprom” signed an agreement with the company South Stream Transport BV for confidentiality on the construction of a marine gas pipeline from Russia to Turkey through the Black Sea.

This is stated in published Gazprom materials.

“Gazprom’s Board of Directors decided to ensure the protection of trade secret information received from each other in the interest of the construction of an offshore gas pipeline from Russia to Turkey through the Black Sea,” the press release said.

It is noted that the agreement will be in force until 2021.

South Stream Transport BV was established for the construction of the sea section of South Stream. But after Gazprom’s decision to stop the project, the company bought out the shares of Eni, EdF and Wintershall in the project. It was assumed that some of the assets of South Stream Transport could be used for the construction of Turkish Stream. /TASS
