Gazprom makes a sharp turn, leaves Europe

The redirection of energy carriers from Russia to Asia is “more relevant than ever” amid the strained relations between Moscow and Brussels due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. This was announced by Oleg Aksyutin, vice president of the board of directors of Gazprom, in a speech at the 11th International Gas Forum in St. Petersburg, Russia, France Press reported.

According to him, China, where “consumption is expected to double”, and India, where demand is also growing, will be the main importers of Russian gas in the coming years.
