The Russian energy company Gazprom may become the main sponsor of the Croatian football club Hajduk. About it informs journalist Yagiz Sabunchuglu.

According to the source, Gazprom has already made an official offer to Hajduk and wants to make it the best club in Croatia.
The Russian company is ready to provide the Croatian club with a transfer budget of 30 million euros so that the club from Split can acquire three star players this summer. One such player could be Tottenham midfielder Ivan Perisic, who is a graduate of Hajduk.
Hajduk are 15 times Croatian champions. The team from Split won the last championship title in 2005. After that, Dinamo Zagreb dominated Croatia, winning 17 of 18 league titles. Hajduk finished the last two seasons in the Croatian championship with silver medals.
Since 1997, Gazprom has been the title sponsor of St. Petersburg Zenit. In 2010, the Russian company became the title sponsor of the Serbian club Crvena Zvezda. This year, Gazprom wanted to become a sponsor of Besiktas, but negotiations with the Turkish club came to a standstill.
