PGNIG noted that on January 14, 2022, the company received a lawsuit from the representative of Gazprom and Gazprom Export to the Arbitration Court of Stockholm. The document contains a requirement to increase the price of gas supplied under the Yamal contract.
As explained in the Polish company, “Gazprom” expects to revise the contract price for gas retroactively. It is noted that we are talking about applications sent in the period from December 8, 2017 to November 9, 2020.
“The requirement to increase the price of the contract, included in the Gazprom tender offer, is completely unfounded. We are ready to prove it in the Arbitration Court,” PGNIG President Pavel Mayevsky commented on the Russian company’s claim.
