In July, Gazprom booked an additional 15 million cubic meters per day to pump gas through the territory of Ukraine to European consumers. The Russian company is buying out the entire reserve of gas transit capacities through Ukraine for the third month, writes ExPro Consulting.
Compared to March and April, the volume of booked capacities increased by 0.8 million cubic meters per day.
Together with the capacities under the current contract (109.6 million cubic meters per day) in July, the maximum daily transit of Russian “blue fuel” through Ukraine will be 124.6 million cubic meters per day, excluding possible additional bookings in a daily format.
Almost all of Gazprom plans to pump gas to Europe in the Slovak direction through Uzhgorod-Velke Kapushany. For July, the Russians additionally booked 14.7 million cubic meters of capacity at this point, as in May and June.
Recall that Naftogaz found another reason to sue Gazprom… The Ukrainian company will try to negotiate with Gazprom on the transit of gas to Ukraine from Central Asia. If it does not work out, he will file a lawsuit.
