The Israeli army announced on Tuesday that its forces were able to free hostages from the southern Gaza Strip in a “complex” operation carried out by the army and Israel’s Internal Security Service.

Israeli forces were able to free the enemy, Farhan Al-Qadi, who was kidnapped by Hamas gunmen during the October 7 attack on southern Israel and taken to Gaza.

A military statement said the 52-year-old judge was rescued in a “complex operation in the southern Gaza Strip” carried out by Israeli forces and the Internal Security Service.

The statement said it was not possible to release further details “due to issues related to the safety of our guests, the security of our forces and national security.”
