The war in the Gaza Strip, now entering its seventh month, is the deadliest ever waged in this small besieged Palestinian enclave.

Israel says it has hit 1,400 “targets” in Lebanon with airstrikes and 3,300 with artillery, rocket or tank fire.

About 3,100 rockets have been fired at Israeli territory from Lebanon and 35 from Syria, according to Israel.
