Gaza City, more than 52% of patients are in the Doctors Without Borders clinic: 35 pallets of aid waiting to be delivered to the North of the Strip

ROMA – Access to the clinic is increasing sharply Doctors Without Borders (MSF) in Gaza City, which is located in an area of northern Gaza not subject to evacuation orders. The facility remains operational, although it faces severe shortages of drugs and medical supplies. In the last week, due to the movement of many people in the North, including from the Jabalia refugee camp, MSF teams have carried out 858 medical visits in the Gaza City clinic, of which 225 were for patients with traumatic wounds, 98 for burn victims , while there were 181 sexual and reproductive health consultations. Compared to the previous week, accesses increased by 52%. Additionally, many people suffer from anxiety and stress due to the loss of their homes and sources of income.

Few humanitarian supplies reach the North. Access to the northern Gaza Strip is extremely difficult. Very few humanitarian supplies have managed to pass through the northern part of the Gaza Strip since 1 October. Last October 16, 50 trucks entered the north with food and hygiene items, but in quantities largely insufficient for the entire population of the north. On October 22, Israeli authorities announced that 230 trucks entered northern Gaza through the western Erez crossing. MSF currently has 35 pallets of medical supplies waiting to be delivered to northern Gaza.
