Gaza: basic health care for the population

In Gaza, the health needs are enormous and the population’s situation is unstable.

The local hospitals that are still working, apart from lacking the necessary staff and medicines, are often overcrowded: without other structures, patients also turn to hospitals for needs that may be treated as outpatients.

The situation in the Gaza Strip is critical and the population is exhausted: in addition to the lack of health services, the lack of water, food and housing is at stake.

EMERGENCY project in Gaza

In mid-August 2024, the Emergency team entered Gaza to open a clinic that provides first aid, stable of medical and surgical emergencies e transmission in hospital facilities, basic medical-surgical assistance for adults and children, outpatient activities reproductive health e Follow up post-operative nursing.

In the last few months, while we await final approval to enter the Strip, we have worked to define the project and implement coordination with the Nations’ organizations United and other partners present in the area.
